Labour's Hemel Hempstead, Berkhamsted and Tring Candidates for the local elections on Thursday 6th May

On Thursday 6th May Dacorum residents in Hemel Hempstead, Berkhamsted and Tring have the opportunity to vote for their representative on Hertfordshire County Council, and breathe some fresh life into the Council.

Labour’s “Dacorum Slate” represents the diversity of our region and would work for all of Dacorum’s 155,000 residents.

Mandi Tattershall
Hemel South East

Mandi Tattershall was born in Bennetts End and has lived in Hemel Hempstead all her life. She is a school governor and works for a local housing association. A proud mother of three and grandmother of six, Mandi is standing to protect our green belt, clean our streets and get the best education for our children. Saba Poursaeedi
Hemel North East

Saba and his wife live in Woodhall Farm. He has previously worked for the council helping disabled people in Hertfordshire into employment. He’s standing to help people help themselves and he’ll fight to get you a better deal.

Vanessa Mitchell

Vanessa was born in Hemel Hempstead, and has lived in Dacorum borough all her life. She is a Modern Languages graduate, and has worked in Technical Support management and website design. Both Vanessa’s parents served as local Labour councillors, and her grandfather was the Dacorum mayor. Vanessa is passionate about the provision of excellent education for our young people, and good quality housing for local residents.

Tessa Milligan
Hemel Town

Tessa is a childcare worker born in Hemel who has lived in the ward for 22 years. Families and young people are her priorities. She wants to improve education and adult social care, boost public services and revitalise our high streets. Read more about what Tess is all about here.

Ijlal Malik
Hemel East / Leverstock Green ward

Ijlal lives and his wife have raised a family of three in South East Hemel Hempstead. He graduated with a law degree in Pakistan and has spent 30 years as a shift manager with the Royal Mail Group in Hemel Hempstead.

Jim Lawler
Tring / Tring Central ward

Brought up in council housing with a secondary modern education, Jim’s business career includes key executive roles for international corporations and working for the NHS, Adult Care Services & Government Cabinet Office. He has lived in Wigginton, Tring for thirteen years with his wife Linda, and has two grown-up daughters and two grandchildren. He is standing to protect the character and environment of Tring, and strongly believes that the circumstances of your early years should not be allowed to determine your life chances.

Luke Jordan
Hemel St Pauls

Proud dad of two, Luke lives in Adeyfield and works in IT. He’s passionate about mental health and believes people shouldn’t be held back from fulfilling their full potential.

Rob Eilbeck
Kings Langley

Rob is an Aerospace Engineering student and has lived in Hemel Hempstead all 22 years of his life. He’s big into motorbikes and that is all you’ll ever need to know! He’s standing because he believes we can achieve greater things for Hemel with Labour.

Cameron Brady-Turner

Cameron works in Parliament as a caseworker and researcher for a frontbench MP. He is proudest of helping to hold the government to account on care homes during the pandemic and a successful fuel poverty campaign he spearheaded with 38 Degrees. He has lived in Dacorum for 11 years, and is standing to protect local services and be an independent voice for Berkhamsted. Read more about him here.

Gary Adamson
Hemel North West

Gary lives locally with his wife and two daughters. Housing and education are important issues for Gary, as is his passion that our hospital A&E is reinstated.
